Week 2 Preview: Super Bowl Rematch

Just what we need to get the juices flowing. A Superbowl Rematch. This is an early test for two teams that have alot to prove even though they stood face to face in the attempt of winning a championship.  You may not remember but Nick did in fact win the championship and now everyone is gunning for the big man.  Almost losing Week One to the rookie Chris Casey, the defending champ (1-0) showed his poise and expert decision-making to stick with Ryan Mathews to secure the win. You can't teach that, it's instincts baby. Brian had an impressive win as Beats By Ray (1-0) overcame a strong opponent in Team Chreeyusz (0-1). Due to the heightened drama between these two, I grant this Superbowl Rematch to be declared the "Matchup of the Week".
How will Nick fare against Brian without the Red Rifle?

As for the remaining games, (don't worry I didn't forget about you peasants or as Brian would like to call them, Yeoman or Yeomen or Yemen or whatever the fuck they're called) we have a great slate of games after an exciting first week. Here's a quick rundown of the other 5 matchups.

The Heismanberg's (0-1) vs. Two Cups, One Josh (1-0)
Benny Football lost last week to a high scoring team in Beat Joe and now he faces the toughest team in the league.  Cookies could be staring 0-2 in the face if Peyton and Demaryius don't blow the tits off the lowly Chiefs. Pivotal division matchup that could easily put Joe in the driver's seat if Josh would also happen to lose.  Current projections call for a single digit margin of victory for Joe so if you like high scoring, then this is the matchup to closely follow. Newly acquired Arian Foster could be the difference in this one.
Taco Corp (0-1) vs. The DrewBree Brothers (0-1)
Since the draft ended, I've insisted that these two teams would be my darkhorses to make the playoffs and also advance. Although both teams lost last week, they both contain a plethora (shoutout to Ben) of talent to be uber competitive. Dave turned heads by not starting a defense but I assume he'll be playing one this week because it could be a backbreaker to start off 0-2 in this league. Another highly projected matchup, I think this goes down to the wire with Aaron waiting up all Monday night to see if Trent Richardson can help him capture his first win. Also watch out for Dave's waiver wire action, we're all anxious to see if this is the week he picks up a defense.

Beat Joe (1-0) vs. Team SSPD (1-0)
"Do you believe in miracles?!" is what Dom quickly texted us when the Giants game went final on Monday night to secure his first win against Aaron last week. Dom looks to become 2-0 for the first time in his 4th year and will have to beat Josh to remain undefeated. Josh is projected over 140 points after a huge week from Stafford and Julius Thomas carried him to a victory over Cookies. Surprisingly, Dom beat Josh last year in a shootout but Dom should be weary of a shootout with this team as he could only muster 75 points in the Week One upset.  Toting new players such as Cordarelle Patterson and Ryan Mathews, DC is looking to to keep the winning ways going.
Schenectady Schmeckles (0-1) vs. The Nard Dawgs (0-1)
The Schmeckles nearly knocked off the champ last week and made a strong impression with the rest of the league. Last night, Chris dealt his first ever draft pick, Arian Foster to Joe for CJ Spiller and Rashad Jennings to add some depth alongside Reggie Bush. The projections aren't currently in his favor but you can throw those out in this matchup as Will's team missed projections by nearly 50 points against Vinnie.  Will's team picked a good week to collectively shit the bed since he lost by 60 regardless. Now his strong lineup consisting of Kaepernick , Gio Bernard and Brandon Marshall looks to get him back on track. Flex play could be crucial as Will has Kendall Wright manning the 3rd receiver role as Chris will most likely utilize Rashad Jennings. The Sunday night game curently features 2 players from each team and should provide more late night drama than a new episode of Law & Order: SVU.
Love this show. Marry me Mariska Hargitay.
Team Chreeyusz (0-1) vs. Kissing Suzy Kolber (1-0)
Arguably the most impressive team was Vinnie from a week ago as he put up the second-most points even with Aaron Rodgers, which proved to be a strong move. Vinnie looks to put some distance between other playoff hopefuls with a win over Chreeyusz. Chris lost a hotly contested matchup against Brian due to poor play from his running backs but I expect him to bounce back with more favorable matchups. Both teams also have their main players in both night games to ensure that it will go down to the wire. All signs point to shootout in this contest. Also, it should be noted that Chris lost his first week last year and then proceeded to win the next 4 games.

Welp. That's about it. Hope you all enjoyed this and best of luck this week, except Brian of course.
